Position: The opening is for a 9-month tenure-track position with appointment as Assistant Professor of Sociology starting August 2016.
Responsibilities: The incumbent will teach four three-hour courses (12 credit hours) per semester. Some teaching at the cross-listed undergraduate/graduate level may be needed. A significant portion of the teaching will be in an online format. Enhance the sociology major. Assist in recruiting and retaining students. Maintain regular office hours. Attend all department meetings. In sum, the incumbent should be eager to work hard, love to teach, and be committed to maintaining steady flows of research accomplishments and service obligations.

Additional preference will be given to candidates who are qualified and able to teach various core courses in the sociology major, as well as courses that are included in one or more of our certificates.
