Judson College seeks a generalist to teach online courses in Sociology. The College offers a minor in Sociology, and also offers several 200-level courses which are popular options for the fulfillment of General Education Curriculum requirements. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to effectively deliver — via the College’s course management system — the Introduction to Sociology (survey) course, courses on culture and anthropology, and one of Judson’s most popular courses, “Poverty and Inequality.” Applicants should also demonstrate an interest in helping the online program effectively deliver all courses required to earn a Sociology minor.
Applicants with the PhD in Sociology will be given first consideration, but persons with Master’s degrees and experience in online course delivery are also welcome to apply. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master’s degree. Evidence of a flexible schedule is also important.
Increasingly you need a terminal degree to work in an online college. Here’s an opportunity for those with online teaching experience and the right masters degree to get a foot in the doo!
